Winter Wren Obituary

Here is the obituary of Winter Wren from the Witch Vox blog. Our fellow writer was certainly accomplished!
Anita

Winter Wren (Dorothy Folks-Lewis)
Wrens are never still for long.

Winter flew to the Summerlands at 8:01 AM on Thursday 9/25/2008.

She is survived by her beloved son John, and many adopted siblings.

A true renaissance woman she was High Priestess of The Temple of the Sacred Lady of Avalon, a Tarot Master and instructor, founder of the American Board for Tarot Certification and held three academic degrees including a Master’s in Teaching and Learning with Technology.

This wren never hid under the eaves. She hosted and produced the first Pagan Radio show in the US – “The Witching Hour” with then husband Don Lewis and always fought for causes she believed in; including being a Regional Director for W.A.R.D. ‘Witches Against Religious Discrimination’. Thanks so much for this, Anita. I did some browsing too - and learned that she loved Maine Coon Cats and was only 45.

When she wrote to me on Sept. 18 she was cheerful and breezy. I'm sorry that I never had a chance to meet her.
